NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)
National Cadet Corps is engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. There are 105 cadets in the NCC unit. Major Dr.(Ms). D.J. Jotangiya co-ordinates the activities of NCC.
NCC training includes drill, weapon-training, map-reading, annual training camps and all India level camps. It aims at the growth of the young students into mature and responsible women with strength of character and courage so that they become worthy citizens of the country.
Activities
- Visit to slum areas of the city for generating awareness on AIDS
- Tree plantation at Rajkot Railway Line
- Organized Income Generating Programme
- Provided nutrition education to pre school students
- performed anti drug street play at various slum areas to spread awareness about the hazards of drugs
